Violin
Ludwig Müller, a native of Austria, studied violin at the University of Graz with Walery Gradow and
Klaus Eichholz and at the University of Vienna with Günther Pichler and Ernst Kovacic and graduated with” summa cum laude”.
Since 1986, Ludwig Müller has been the concertmaster of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and of the Orquesta de Cadaques since 1991.
He has been working regularly with conductors such as Rudolf Barschai, Ivor Bolton, Philippe Entremont, Adam Fischer, Thomas Hengelbrock, Heinz Holliger, Yakov Kreizberg, Sir Charles Mackerras, Sir Neville Marriner, Lord Yehudi Menuhin, Gianandrea
Noseda, Krysztof Penderecki, Vasily Petrenko, Günther Pichler, Gennadi Roshdestwensky, Jukka Pekka Saraste, Jordi Savall, Heinrich Schiff, Peter Schreier, David Stern, Sandor Vegh and Stefan
Vladar.
He is regularly invited as a guest leader to the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Netherland Chamber Orchestra, Netherland Philharmonic, Residentie Orchestra The Hague,
Nagoya Philharmonic, Orquestra de Castilla y Leon and the BBC Symphony Orchestra London.
For the Mozart Year he has been the concertmaster of the Super World Orchestra on its annual tour in Japan.
As a soloist and artistic director of various orchestras, he has been performing in important venues like Vienna (Konzerthaus and Musikverein), Salzburg (Mozarteum), Berlin (Schauspielhaus),
Paris (Theatre de Champs Elysees),New York (Carnegie Hall), Tokio (Suntory Hall) and
Osaka (Festival Hall) among many others.
He has recorded numerous of CDs and performed many concerts in Vienna and abroad with
chamber music groups, such as the Arcus Ensemble Wien, the Soloists of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Ensemble Wien Tokyo and the Bell'arte Ensemble of the Wiener Symphoniker.
In 1998, Ludwig Müller and his colleagues Barna Kobori, Georg Hamann and Christophe Pantillon founded the Aron Quartet at the newly opened Arnold Schönberg Center Wien and they have been presenting a subscription series as the resident quartet of that institution for 10 years. Since then,
the quartet has been performing regularly in the Konzerthaus Wien, presents an annual series of 3 concerts at the Musikverein Wien and appears in many international concert series and music festivals.
Since 2008 the Aron Quartet has its own summer festival at the Schloss Laudon in Vienna.
Among many recordings of the ensemble, the complete set of the string quartets of Arnold Schönberg has been praised by the international press as a new benchmark for these quartets.
For the 50th anniversary of Erich Wolfgang Korngolds death, the group recorded his 3 quartets and the piano quintet. In October 2009 the Aron Quartet will perform these pieces together with his string sextet and the suite at the Opera de Bastille in Paris.
Ludwig Müller has been teaching violin and chamber music at the International Music Academy Montpellier, the Canetti International Music Festival Israel and the International Music Festival Nagano. He is a tutor for the violins with the Jeunesse Orchestra Vienna and the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE).

Ludwig Müller est né à Leoben (Styrie) et a étudié à la Musikhochschule de Graz avec Valery Gradow et Klaus Eichholz, ainsi qu'à l'Université de Vienne avec Günter Pichler et Ernst Kovacic, où il a recu un diplôme avec distinction.
En 1986, Ludwig Mueller est nommé premier violon-solo de l'Orchestre de Chambre de Vienne et depuis 1991, il occupe le même poste dans l' "Orquestra de Cadaquès". Cela l'a amené à collaborer avec de grands chefs tels que Rudolf Barschai, Philippe Entremont, Adam Fischer, Heinz Holliger, Sir Neville Marriner, Lord Yehudi Menuhin, Krzysztof Penderecki, Günter

Ludwig Mueller a été membre du "Bell'arte Ensemble" (avec des membres de l'Orchestre Symphonique de Vienne) et a fondé en 1988 l' "Arcus Ensemble Wien" (quintette avec piano).
En 1998, il a fondé le quatuor aron, quatuor en résidence du Centre Arnold Schönberg à Vienne.
Il s'est produit en tant que soliste ou chambriste dans la plupart des pays d'Europe et sur les cinq continents. On a ainsi pu l'entendre dans des centres prestigieux tels que Vienne (Konzerthaus, Musikverein), Salzbourg (Mozarteum), Paris (Théâtre des Champs Elysées), Berlin (Schauspielhaus), Londres (Wigmore Hall), New York (Carnegie Hall), Moscou (Conservatoire Tchaikovsky), Tokyo (Suntory Hall) et Osaka (Symphony Hall).et dans de nombreux festivals tels que "Styriarte Graz", "Bregenzer Festspiele", "Carinthischer Sommer", Wien Modern, le Festival Casals de Prades, le Festival de Radio-France à Montpellier, le Festival de Schleswig Holstein, le festival d' Istanbul et Festival Menuhin de Gstaad. Il se produit aussi régulièrement depuis 1990 avec le pianiste Rudolf
Meister.
Ludwig Müller a enseigné à l'Université de Vienne. Chaque année, il donne des masterclass de violon et de musique de chambre en Autriche et au Japon; il est également professeur au "Wiener Jeunesse Orchester" et à l'Orchestre des Jeunes d'Espagne (JONDE). in Austria and Japan and works with the strings of the Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra and the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE). In 1998 he took over a violin class at the Vienna University of Music.
